We are located in Mariposa, California, near Yosemite National Park.

Wind Walkers Garden was conceived with a vision of wildlife being around and among us. A love and pleasure of wildlife and nature has been with my wife and myself for a lifetime. This is what brought us to live in Mariposa County, where the bear, mountain lion, deer, and so many different kinds of birds abound and dwell around us. Our business (birdhouses, bird feeders, bat houses and butterfly houses) was generated by our desire to provide a way for us to give back to nature and create a sustainable business rooted in the tradition of quality American handcrafting.

As urban sprawl encroaches into wildlife areas and our natural habitats shrink, there is a desire to give back by restoring and enhancing our wildlife habitat. Urban backyards can be a very important habitat for birds, if one has a desire to enjoy what nature has given us. Putting up a bird house and providing water, cover and food (landscaping for wildlife); placing a butterfly house in the garden or creating a butterfly garden; or putting up a bat house to combat those annoying mosquitos are just the begining.

Small, simple additions to your backyard habitat can get you hooked. Since we started provided feeding places, water and housing for the birds, we have gone from listening to the birds in the distance to having over twenty-five different species in the yard up close and personal. Now we have progressed to working on a small habitat restoration project, replanting our meadow with native grasses, plants and bushes.

We have watched the rising popularity of feeding birds and attracting wildlife grow. One in three Americans now feeds birds or provides water and housing for wild birds and the numbers are increasing. This is not really surprising, considering all the enjoyment one derives from watching new neighbors move in, feed their family, watch the youngsters grow and learn to fly.

We have teamed up with American Companies using American craftsman to provide quality products. It is our hope that our wildlife products will bring joy and beauty into the lives of all who use and view them.
